I tried to recreate environmentally-friendly plastic used in the past, called casein plastic. I did so by combining warm white milk with different amounts of white vinegar, in the one, two, four, and eight-teaspoon quantities. The purpose of this experiment was to find the ratio that produced the most plastic. I predicted that the recipe with eight teaspoons of white vinegar to one cup of milk would yield the most plastic, since there was the most vinegar for the milk to react with. However, the recipe with two teaspoons of white vinegar produced the most plastic on all four trials.
